Road Hunting

I'm working on the road in No. Cal. This is across the street from my Hotel as I pulled out one morning.
In the front yard of an apartment building, on a 4 lane road!
If you live in the apartments...or just wait for a break in traffic;
The suggested "Taking Device" is of course the DAISY B-B GUN.
Preferably the Red Rider.
AVery quiet pop, then Shake & Bake.

Both. Wild Turkeys are yummy!
And i have a big freezer out back.
Speaking of Easter, one of my hunting buddies is in S. Tx. on a pig hunt.
Can hardly wait for my Easter ham.
Nice to see your candle burning on My page. Im not as prolific as Lavi, but I'm here & again.

I thought those were lawn ornaments until I opened the picture bigger....holy turkey legs! That would be a temptation to shoot...especially the one that has turned his back on you and seems to be saying "kiss my ass bub!"
Seems like someone was on a posting mission tonight. So I thought I would stop in and give some of the love back.
Now about that javalina....you do plan to share right? *smacks lips*

Not Havelina sweetie,
Feral pigs, domesticated monsters gone wild or razor backs, whatever you can get during the hunt.

damn you! I was going to post something snarky and link it to an online source saying they are the same....then I read the source. I always thought a razorback and a javalina (I got the spelling right at least?) were the same creature or at least the same family.
None the less javalina makes mighty tasty eating.....all those Tucson desert parties of long ago with a pig cooking in the ground and the kegs flowing like a river...ahhh those were the days of my youth!

Tastes like pig , meat falls off the bone when cooked in the PIT.
You are definately a Tucson girl, Now you know all about the Peccary.
A lot smaller than a razor back but just as mean.
cool

I have some drunken experience with this. t least it didn't taste like rotted fish and the meat on my bone eventually grew back.

There is nothing like being chased through the dry creek beds at dusk by a pack of mean javalinas!! I am suprised I survived my youth!
I am glad your injuries were not that serious and that you healed nicely, scum. I am sure you have learned a valuable lesson! lol

Pilgrims Pride.
I don't hunt, but I enjoy the fruits of the abbatoir - namely, meat!
If I had to shoot Bambi though, I'd be a vegetarian.
